Above is the Customers idea of what it should look like

Custom designed and carved for a local business

Customer example above layout to the right

A piece of 200 year old heart pine that I carved for my son

The lettering is carved with a profile bit and the back ground is just get’n started

Here I was bouncin’ back-n-forth betwixt carving’ the back ground and taping’ off ‘em letters

Sprayed background

Tossed some highlights in the back ground, removed the tape and put a sprayed finish to seal her up tighter ‘en Dick’s hat band

As Leather Jacket Guy’d say”there she is sir”

The peice of wood in the bottom right that is missing was cut out by the original carpenter who built the house I salvaged this peice from in 1811! I didn’t touch it throughout this process so it would hopefully be preserved for another 200 years

Made this one for one of my extreme southern brothers for him to put in his new home!

Go’on now…go’on getchya one!

This is a carving of my new logo

Here is the progression from slab to sign

This next sign is my first sign where I used more than one peice of wood. As you can see I used two peices of cedar to create a river slab. I’ll carve the sign on the finished result

This is a custom peice for a business in my area, it from bench to River slab

This one took some work, I struggled with the epoxy every step of the way. It was however an invaluable learning experience and that’s what makes any endeavor interesting…is it not?

This one I carved for my wife for Christmas.

The couch of the UVA Cavaliers men’s basketball team was kind enough to sign it for me.

This is a portrait of the most beautiful woman who has ever lived…my wife and her Siamese cat we adopted on our first anniversary
